As a designer, the world of colour is endlessly inspirational.
Some projects need bright bold colour,
some need neutral tones.
Yet one colour that I never tire of using is blue,
It's an absolute classic with
one of its favourite marriage partners: white.
But is equally eye-catching on its own.
Cobalt suggests life and vitality -
perhaps because it is the colour of water.
It's elegant, lively & vivacious.
A gorgeous combination!

This is one of my absolute favorite colors ever. I'm in love...this post just sings to me! The shoes are amazzzing. For Valentine's Day, my husband gave me a pair of velvet cobalt blue heels that I have been wanting for so long :) Just love it!

Velvet anything, and you have my attention. But velvet in cobalt blue, oh la la! You lucky girl!
DeleteA stunning shot of colour.
ReplyDeleteI love cobalt blue! Those dresses are fantastic.
ReplyDeleteOh, yes, Virginia, this color is gorgeous, one my favorite colors. I posted about it a few times and already have a file full of great images.
ReplyDeleteThese in your post are fabulous, love the ceramics and those shoes are really beautiful.
About the director chairs, here in Brasil we saw them a lot in the 80s, they were a success, specially at the beach, but now they are coming back. There are some made with bamboo and beautiful fabrics. I went to a showhouse and saw this fabulous dining room - the table was white with 8 director chairs made of bamboo and fabric, but every one had a different pattern, all in blue and white. I'll never forget that room, it was really gorgeous.
About the Capital Kitchen, now I'm jealous! I'd love to have a few cups of coffee there, I guess they would have to kick me out, hehe.

Oh my! that sounds amazing with the blue and white fabrics on the bamboo chairs! So very chic. Now I have to find some bamboo director's chairs...I am intrigued.
DeleteAll right, next time I pop into Capital Kitchen I will toast you as I sip my coffee - so you can be there in spirit if not in person!
Love any shade of blue, but cobalt has a real kick, so intense. Adore the combination in photo 6.
